Are you living your own dream or someone else's?

KK, That's a great question. I think its not so much a matter of how long it takes to integrate the breath techniques - but rather about cultivating an awareness of when our breathing is not natural or correct - so that we can quickly and easily bring ourselves back to balance. The more aware one is - the quicker the correction happens and the less often one has to do it. What is also valuable is finding out what triggers the irregular breathing and collapsing the underlying triggers.

𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵!

Do you experience tightness in your solar plexus. Do you sometimes find it difficult to catch your breath? Do you yawn or sigh a lot? Do you have to do a lot of physical exercise to get enough air? Do you experience breathing difficulties or notice yourself in the habit of some incorrect breathing patterns?

𝗠𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: instead of nose breathing, mouth breathing may lead to dry mouth, increased risk of respiratory infections, and reduced nitric oxide production.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: taking shallow breaths using your chest rather than deep diaphragmatic breaths can cause tension in the neck and shoulders and reduce oxygen intake.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 (Hyperventilation): breathing too quickly or deeply can lead to a decrease in carbon dioxide levels, causing dizziness, tingling, and sometimes panic attacks.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: holding your breath during stress or concentration, can increase anxiety and disrupt normal breathing patterns.

𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀: relying on neck and shoulder muscles for breathing instead of the diaphragm can lead to muscle fatigue and pain.

𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗮𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆: this can be a sign of trying to compensate for inadequate oxygen intake or an attempt to reset the breathing pattern.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: adopting certain postures to facilitate easier breathing, such as leaning forward or slumping, can lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.

Addressing these compensations often involves breath retraining to promote proper breathing patterns.

I think that execution boils down to doing the right things right. Firstly everyone needs to be aligned around what the right things are...if there is not clarity, conherence and commitment at all levels of the organization - execution will fail. If you try to do too much, there will be overwhelm and resistance, if the execution is poorly implemented (half-hearted or bad quality) then the strategy will fail.

KK, I love how you so clearly line up the beats that need to be hit to have an effective strategy. My holes right now are a good CRM system and regularly reviewing the data analytics that I do have. Perhaps I wasn't ready for hubspot at the time we first started chatting...I should be there soon.

When we feel out of control, our breath is the one thing which we can control, by how we attend to it and where we focus it. Conacious connected breathing is incredibly powerful. Just because we are taking air in- that does not mean we are breathing properly. @KK Diaz - I help growth-focused entrepreneurs build profitable self-managing businesses
